1. Sneakers that exercise for you. 
If you think that wearing an ugly elevated shoe will tone your calves, just go for a run with some real sneakers. 

2. Harem pants 
The over-sized silk pants with skinny bottoms are not flattering to anyone.

3. Pajamas as outerwear
PJs are for sleeping, sleepovers, and christmas morning not to go outside.

4. Square Toed Shoes 
The mainly square shape looks like its crushing your toes!

Fashion Trends of 2011

1. Colorblocking
Instead of always matching your pants with your jacket, wear every piece a different color.

2. Maxi Dresses
Everyone wore maxi dresses in summer 2011, great for those days you don't want to feel sticky in the summer heat. 

3. Capes 
They are the sophisticated poncho, just throw on a cape and a pair of boots.  

4. Coated Jeans
Jeans are a wardrobe staple, this spin off the denim classic can be worn dressed down or dressed up.

 5. Fur Vests 
Most often seen on Rachel Zoe, fur vests look best with an all black ensemble.
 

Beauty Trends of 2011

1.  Matching your manicure to your cocktail ring 
An easy way to polished look and accessorize a little black dress.

2. Feathers Accessories
From Steven Tyler and Kesha to Demi Lovato (who has a feather tattoo) and Hilary Duff feathers were a huge trend in earrings, hair extensions, rings and necklaces. 

 3. The Modern Cat Eye 
A Spin on the classic winged tip, included using white eyeliner, a double winged tip, or colored eyeliner.

4. Candy Colored hair
From Lady Gaga to Nicki Minaj, both sported unnatural hair colors to bring a splash of color to the stage. Katy Perry took the most risks this year dying her black hair pink, purple and blonde.

5. Bold Brows 
Camilla Belle and Lily Collins feature bold eyebrows.

Best Braids of 2011

Braids was a major trend in 2011! From fishtails to milkmaids, everyone tried a new braid style.

Nicole Scherzinger
She wears a braid across the middle of her crown resembling a headband, so chic!

 Kim Kardashian 
At the Kids Choice Awards, Kim wore her usual cascading waves with a few braids mixed in.

Bryce Dallas Howard 
At the Cannes film festival, the The Help star incorporated a side braid into her braided bun. 

Nicole Richie
She started with a middle part, braiding each side and joining the braids into a side braid. 

Zoe Saldana
Wearing a loose milkmaid braid makes this look easy and carefree.

Gabrielle Union 

With a deep side part, her ponytail is casual and flirty.  

Selena Gomez
Wisps of hair frame her face on both sides. Her medium length pony has her own hair tied around the elastic, a trick many celebs use.  This is a nice twist on the classic side pony tail. 

Nicole Richie
Her swept up ponytail is refreshingly new. This shorter ponytail is not often seen on the red carpet. The back of the ponytail reveals her darker hair color to match her roots. 

Kristen Bell
This is a very casual look, all she did was create large waves and pin them back at the nape of her neck. She also left a few waves to frame her face.

The Moroccan actress, added a poof to her mid-height curly ponytail.

2011 has been Emma Stone's breakout year, starring in The Help, Crazy, Stupid, Love, Friends with Benefits and next year The Amazing Spiderman with her beau Andrew Garfield. Rocking the peplum and coloringblocking trend she was a standout on the red carpet.

The Columbiana star, easily wore maxi and mini dresses on the red carpet. 

MILA KUNIS

After starring the Black Swan and Friends with Benefits. The Ukrainian star, went from prima ballerina to long flowly gowns

EMMA WATSON

She attending many premieres of the much anticipated Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. Her best look was at the London premiere. She wears flirty looks to balance out her short pixe hair.
